Codes explained in plain English

What each observation means, how urgent it is and what it costs to fix.

A fixed quote for any remedials

No surprises: you choose whether we carry out the work.

Reminders when it is due again

We let you know before the next inspection date comes round.

How long does an EICR take?

Most homes take two to four hours. Power will be off for parts of that time while circuits are tested.

What happens if my EICR is unsatisfactory?

Any C1 or C2 observations need fixing. We give you a fixed quote and issue a satisfactory report once the work is done.

How often do landlords need an EICR?

At least every five years in England, and a copy must be given to tenants and, on request, the local authority.

Do you do PAT testing for small offices?

Yes. We test, label and record every appliance, usually outside opening hours.
